She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester "Cam" Thompson and Corine Long Thompson; and her husband Harry Brooks. She is survived by: her sisters, Gladys Murray of Columbus, Cora Vanhook of Mebane and Irene R. Thompson of Greensboro. She is also survived by 3 nieces and 6 nephews as well as host of great-nieces and great-nephew's, cousins and friends.
