He is survived by: his wife Devolia Alston; his children, William Alston Jr. (Renee) of Burlington, NC, Ronnie Alston (Delois) of Burlington, NC, Timothy Alston (Carla) of Jackson, GA and Deshannon Smith (Derrick); his sisters, Loretta Allen Gwendolyn (J. C.), Nivar Vaughn (Paul), Inar Becton (Wayne), Ernestine Richmond and Velma Villafane; his grandchildren, William Alston III, Shavonta Alston, Tia Hayes, Timothy Alston Jr., Kristen Pinkney, Terrance Alston and Tyler Alston; his great grandchildren, Kendra Alston, London Hayes, Collin Jeffries, Jada Pinkney, Logan Hayes, Kinsley Pinkney and Kamaree William Alston; and his son Patrick Roberson (Bennette).
