It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl L. Chavis (Mebane, North Carolina), who passed away on December 21, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bracey Chavis, Iona Seagraves, Eula Mae Inman and Annie Mae Herman. He is survived by: his son Richard Wayne Chavis, Sr. (Suk) of Fayetteville; his brother John F. Chavis of Arab, Alabama; his grandson Richard Wayne Chavis, Jr. (Ashley) of Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Ethan L. Chavis and Felix M. Chavis; and his uncle John.
