It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Leroy Mabe of Mebane, North Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Roy Mabe and Doris Lohr Mabe Wood; and his brother Skeeter Wood. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ray Mabe; his daughter Amy Mabe of Efland; his granddaughter Opal Apple; and his siblings, Shirley Blount of Virginia Beach and James Wood of Gloucester, VA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
