With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dallas Houston Cook (Mebane, North Carolina), who passed away on July 15, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Cook and Ruth Farthing Cook; his wife Emma Louise Norris; his brother Burl; his children, Crystal Lynn Cook, Johnsie Cook Smith and James M. Cook; and his grandson Richard Dwayne Cook (Barry Kernodle).
He is survived by: his children, Gail C. Gibbs, Donna C. Simmons (Robert), Frieda C. McLendon (Mike), Dianne R. Cook (Ricky), Robert G. Cook (Debbie) and Douglas A. Cook; and his sisters, Lavola Henson (Hugh) of Vilas, NC and Lola Cook of Mountain City, TN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Church Cemetery Fund.
