He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pickett Parsons; his children, Cynthia Parsons Phillips (Jeff) of Efland and David B. Parsons (Kimberly) of Graham; his sister Frances Lowe of Elon; and his grandchildren, Christian Phillips and Jacob Phillips.
