“We are sending up thoughts & prayers for all who loved "Mr. Best". May you continue to find peace, support through one another and healing. Sadly we didn't learn of Charles' death until this past week when we saw the obituary notices on the Internet, dated 5/22/17. It was quite a shock as the last time I spoke with him was just 4 months prior on one of the coldest of the "holi-days", sitting on his golf cart talking about family, animals and farms, alongside his little sidekick pup. There was sadness as he shared that he had lost another child, his son, most recently then. Then and there I vowed to be a "better neighbor", and talk to Charles more often than mainly when one of his cows was out of the fence and onto our land! I will remember & miss this man and the kind, strong soul we came to know through our shared love of our land and family , as neighbors.”
