She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Hadley Barber; her parents, Henry David Bass, Sr. and Mary Katherine Mise Bass; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Bass, Inez Lineberry, Frank Bass, Lawrence Bass, Hannibal Bass and James L. Bass.

She is survived by: her siblings, Patricia "Till" Lashley of Climax and Henry David Bass, Jr. of Liberty.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rich and Thompson Chapel (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215).
