With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carroll Lewis Hawkins of Mebane, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Carroll Lewis leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Mileo-Hawkins; and his grandchildren, Ryan Collier, Austin Collier, Zach Dolack, Rainey Ardoin-Hawkins and Ruby Hawkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clements Funeral Home (148 N Churton St, Hillsborough, NC 27278). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (940 Carmichael St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery (7215 Walnut Grove Church Rd, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
