He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Scott and Eula Scott; and his siblings, Harold Lee Scott and Betsy Ross Scott Johnson. He is survived by: his brother Rainey T Scott. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
