Arthur Funches Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2020, at the age of 79, Arthur Funches Sr. of Mebane, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Funches and Vernell Funches; his wife Rosa JaneFunches; and his daughter Janifer Lynn Lighten. He is survived by: his brothers, Charlie, Willie Funches and Charles Funches; his children, Arthur Lee Funches Jr. (Wendi) and Lynette Parker (Darryl); his grandchildren, Adrienne Lighten, Alexis Lighten Wesley (Robert), Dionne, Desiree, Taylor Parker, Christopher, Michael Lighten and Arthur Enrique Funches; and his siblings, Clarence Funches (Mary), James Funches (Mable), Adolph Funches Jr., Ella Grier (Jerry) and Vernell English. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arthur and Rosa married on July 23, 1960 and began to lay the foundation of what would become a true and pure example of love and marriage.
