He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Elmo and Mae DeWitt Phelps; and his brother Dwight Phelps, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Solomon Phelps; his children, Misty Phelps Cook (Jamie), Anthony "Lewis" Phelps, Jr. (Madonna) and Jacob Kemp Phelps; his grandchildren, Leah, Makenzie, Emma, Eastin, Ember, Noah and Cora; and his sister Sharon P. Butler (Cecil).
