He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Lewis and Neva Madden Lewis; his siblings, Liz Lewis Carter-Dixon and Ray W. Lewis; his grandparents, Ed, Cora Allison Lewis, John and Elizabeth Noble Madden; and his brothers-in-law, Johnnie, Lonnie Foster and Irvin Byrd.
He is survived by: his significant other Sonaha Foster Lewis; his children, Melissa Lewis Alcon Haugle and Allen "Jay" Curtis Lewis Jr. (Pam) of Mebane; his grandsons, Joshua Alcon (Brittany) of Mebane, Jordan Lewis (Rachel) of Mebane, Ethan Alcon of Burlington, Ryan Lewis of Elon, Garrett Lewis of Mebane and Tyler Haugle of Mebane; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Alcon, Wade Lewis and Isaac Lewis; his children, Robert Carter, Sammy Carter, Rita Hopkins and Lisa Simmons; and his sisters-in-law, Ilene Byrd and Kay Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Longs Chapel Christian Church, AuthoraCare Hospice of Burlington and/or the Pleasant Grove Fire Department.
