He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lawson Whitten and Daisy Mae Feltman Whitten. He is survived by: his wife Mae Baker Whitten; and his sons, Warner Ray "Butch" Whitten, Jr. (Kathy) of Gibsonville and William Clifton Whitten of Whitsett.
