It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Kaye Kirby Aker (McLeansville, North Carolina), born in Wytheville, Virginia, who passed away on June 13, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband The Reverend Virgil W.; and her siblings, Roberta Manuel and John Daniel Kirby, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Karol, David Draper of Hickory, NC, Iris and Wayne Stonestreet of Pilot Mtn; her son Oran Wayne of McLeansville, NC; her daughter-in-law Diane Aker of McLeansville, NC; and her sisters, Lillian Johnson of Elon, NC and Barbara Dean of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers we suggest memorials be made to Falcon Children's Home in Falcon, NC.
