He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gann and Sadie Snow Gann; and his brothers, Donald Gann and Samuel "Sam" Gann. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Shaw Gann; his children, Lynn Crabtree (late Mike Crabtree) and Chris Gann (Wanda); his siblings, Fred Lee Gann, Lucille Tague and Barbara Williams; his brother-in-law Arnold Williams; his grandchildren, John Christopher Gann (Crystal), Sarah Graham (Matt) and Michael Keller; and his great grandchildren, Carter Gann, Scottie Katherine Gann, Sawyer Graham and Dallas Kate Graham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 5120 Burlington Road, Greensboro, NC 27405.
