He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Elizabeth Zimmerman and Arthur Thomas Murrell; his wife Esther Bunton Murrell; his brothers, Kenneth, Larry, Bobby and Jimmy Murrell; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia (Ginny) and Sammy Bunton.
He is survived by: his fiancée Joyce Fender; his sisters, Dolly Gunnell (Jimmy), Donna Oakley (Cliff) and Bonnie Murrell (Jodie); his siblings-in-law, Danny Bunton (Faye) and Renee Bunton; his nieces and nephews, Wendy Allen (James), Donnie Murrell (Kim), Tonya Murrell, Jeffrey Gunnell (Ashley), Jennifer Brooks (Jason), Shannon Murrell (Amy), Heath Murrell (Tracy), Ivy Waterhouse (Chase), Casey Bennevault (Antoine), Alley Mitchell (Tony), David Bunton, Michelle Bunton, Danny Bunton, Jr. and Jerry; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Peyton, Sierra Murrell, Cameron, Krista Gunnell, Jase, Jacob Brooks, Asher Murrell, Keaton Murrell, Brandt, Wyatt Waterhouse, Leilani, Aston Bennevault, Oakley and Remington Mitchell; and his fiancés, Donna Brown (Brad), Lisa Fogleman (Bryant), Hunter and Gracie. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McLeansville Baptist Church (5205 Frieden Church Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 3:15 PM at the same location.
