He was predeceased by: his father James A. Dawson; and his sons, James Woodrow "Woodie" Dawson and Franklin Dawson. He is survived by: his children, Alex Dawson and Lynn Dawson; and his close friends, Bill and Richard Rigney. He is also survived by siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
