He is survived by: his wife Dona Underwood Zimmerman; his sons, Frank David Zimmerman, Jr. of Iowa, Timothy Zimmerman (Shanna) of Browns Summit and Jonathan Jones (Lisa) of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Patrick Keene (Jackie), Brandon Zimmerman (Sydney), Cole Zimmerman, Ryder Jolley, Remi Zimmerman, Julian Rodriguez-Perez (Christy), Christian Rodriguez-Perez (Kaylynn), Sebastian Rodriguez-Perez and Peyton Rodriguez-Perez; his great grandchild Ella Rodriguez-Perez; and his siblings, Ann Vaughn (Richard) of Greensboro and James Zimmerman (Kathy) of McLeansville.
