She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Shumate (Leisa) of North Wilkesboro, Sandra Roten (Jamie) of McGrady and Reginald Shumate (Geraldine) of North Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Reginald Shumate, Jr. (Tara) of Millers Creek, Jacob Shumate of North Wilkesboro, Savannah Rhoades (Zachery) of Ronda, Madison Roten of McGrady and Garrett Shumate of North Wilkesboro; her great grandchildren, Theodore Shumate of Millers Creek and Makenzie Rhoades of Ronda; and her sisters, Betty Lou Royal of North Wilkesboro, Brenda Lovette (Don) of North Wilkesboro, Margaret Honeycutt (Jack) of McGrady and Darlene Rakes (Earl) of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
