He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Denny and Ruth Royal Denny; and his siblings, Bobby Denny, Ricky Denny, Julie Faye Denny, Cora Smith and Tammy Eastridge.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Blevins Denny; his son Steve Denny (Missy) of Hays; his grandchildren, Stephanie Crouse (Branden) of McGrady, Jacob Denny (Katie) of McGrady and Samantha Hodge (Matthew) of McGrady; his great grandchildren, Cameron Crouse of McGrady and Elaine Denny of McGrady; his siblings, Jack Denny (Nancy) of Ronda, Clara Williams of Wilkesboro, Sue Harris (Ronnie Vannoy) of Millers Creek, Mae Stone (Harrold) of Mulberry, Carol Treadway of Mulberry, Pat Vickers (David) of Wilkesboro, Debby Denny of McGrady and Donna Transeau (Sid) of McGrady; and his close friends, Junior Luffman, Rick Hendrix, Ezra Smithey, Allen Brown, Chris Lowman, Terry Haynes, Eugene Royal, Bobby Faw, Barry Shumate and Jeff Prevette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
