She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Handy and Eula Shumate Handy; and her husband Kenneth Russell Hawkins. She is survived by: her daughters, Rhiannon Prevette (John) of North Wilkesboro and Kendra Johnson (Chris) of McGrady; her grandchildren, Isaac Prevette, Chandler Johnson, Chase Johnson, Kymber Ayers and Corbin Johnson; her mother-in-law Edith Wyatt of McGrady; her siblings, Audrey Shumate (Dean) of North Wilkesboro, Barbara McCoy of McGrady and Clayton Handy, Jr. (Debby) of McGrady; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Viles (Ricky) of McGrady. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
