It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Ray Gwen of McGrady, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Esquire Gwyn and Hazel Carver Gwyn; and his siblings, Melton, Jimmy, Rachel, Gloria, June, Evelyn, Mary and Christine.

He is survived by: his brothers, Earl Gwyn of McGrady and Esquire Gwyn of McGrady. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
