She was predeceased by: her parents, David Ward and Dorothy Roberts Ward; her husband Willie Smith; her brothers, Randolph Arrington, David Ward, George Ward, James Perry Ward and Beverly Bryant; and her grandsons, Antonio Ward and Joseph Jackson, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Eywania Jackson of San Pablo, CA, Hope Dudley (Russell) of Jacksonville, NC, Faith Lowe (Bobby) of Greensboro, NC and Brian Ward (Kristy) of Maysville, NC.; her son-in-law Ezell Bryant (Crystal) of Florida; her godson Edward Middleton (Cathy) of Georgia; her niece Rena Burton (Richard) of Maysville, NC.; her sister Edna Timmons of Baltimore, MD; her sisters-in-law, Hazel Ward of Pollocksville, NC and Susan Arrington of Cove City, NC.; her grandchildren, Dr. Evangelia Ward-Jackson, Nikita Gordon (Nicholas), Jonathan Bryant (Una), Jasmine Bryant, Emmanuel "Rocky" Jackson, Requce Jackson, Requsa Jackson, Jayla Lowe, Tre Lowe and Little Russell Dudley (Kameisha); and her great grandchildren, Heaven Gordon, River Gordon, Keilani Bryant and Camille Dudley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended, family, and dear friends.
She was a proud member of the Order, of the Eastern Star, upholding their principles of charity, truth, and loving kindness.
