He was predeceased by: his father Earl G. Trott. He is survived by: his wife Tina M. Trott; his daughters, Jessica Trott Barnes (Cheyenne) and Hollie Trott Simeone (Stephen); and his grandchildren, Nolyn, Carson, Levi and Opal.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Belgrade United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 161, Maysville, NC 28555.
