He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Weiland and Cecelia Weiland. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Anderson; his stepchildren, David Janhunen, Catherine Bailin and Jesus Marquez; his stepgrandchildren, Owen Janhunen, Victoria Balin, Isabel Balin, Mihalia Balin, Gabriel Balin, Jacob, Isaac and Matteo Porcelli Marquez; and also Julie Porcelli.
Paul felt that it was only with Sandra's unflappable support that he was able to continue to provide hospital care to the very ill and dying during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
