It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Dwain Johnson of Maysville, North Carolina, born in Erin, Tennessee, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Frances Banks Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Cathie Johnson Foster (Steve) of Gibsonville, Sherri Johnson Miller (Chuck) of Jacksonville and Martin "Dwain" Johnson, Jr. of Maysville; his grandchildren, Shawna Johnson Henderson (Chris) of Raleigh, Colton Dwain Johnson (Alexandra) of Canton and Victoria Frances Miller of Jacksonville; his great grandchildren, Willow and Desi; and his siblings, Jerry Johnson (Glenda), Retha Johnson of Tennessee and Ruth Best of Tennessee.
