He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everett Darling and Leona Fipps Darling; and his siblings, William Everett "Buster" Darling, Robert Darling, Otis, Delilah "Nick" Woolbright and Shirley Ann "Curley" Darling.
He is survived by: his wife Cathie Darling of Maysville; his son Leroy Jr. "Charlie" Darling (Alysa) of Maysville; his sister Bonnie Darling of Maysville; and his grandson Aaron Darling (Grace) of Maysville.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the White Oak Community Church (6181 New Bern Hwy, Maysville, NC 28555). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
