She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Jones and Sudie Mills Jones; and her brother Roger Lee Jones. She is survived by: her husband Elwood Barden Morris; her sons, Elwood Neil Morris (Leslie Morris) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Brian William Morris of Charlotte, NC; her grandson Blake Nathaniel Morris of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and her siblings, Nell Jones-Pierce of Maysville, NC, Connie Dunn of Columbia, SC, Bea Lynch of Oldsmar, FL and Dennis Jones of Maysville, NC..

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maysville United Methodist Church—please wear a mask.
