He is survived by: his wife Margaret Collins; his son Donald Vance Collins (April Smith Collins) of Broadway, NC.; his granddaughters, Anna Delayne Collins and Megan Elisabeth Collins; his brothers, Alvis Collins and Skeet Collins; his sister-in-law Alyce Collins of Maysville, NC; and his aunt Addie Ruth Collins of Pollocksville, NC.
