It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Sherry Barker (Maysville, North Carolina), born in Dover, New Hampshire, who passed away on January 30, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Jery Barker and Barbara Barker; her granddaughter Sydney Powell; and her siblings, Michael Sherry and Barbara Nicholson.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Barker; her children, Don Barker (Lori) of Annandale, MN, Ralph Barker (Wanda) of Wendell, NC and Jessica Powell (Ken) of Winston-Salem, NC; her great grandchildren, Agatha Townsend of New Bern, Karen Boodey (Phil) of Barrington, NH and Joyce Perkins (Adam) of Durham, NH; her grandchild Dover; and her brother-in-law Paul Nicholson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Elaine's memory to the Brenner Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 571021 Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
