He was predeceased by: his father William Dalton Lee; and his grandmothers, Alvirada "Nannie" Lee and Alma "Granny" Coley of New Bern. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Lee; his daughter Kristina Owens (Tyler) of Comfort; his stepsons, Eric Philyaw (Sierra) of Comfort and Matthew Philyaw (Lety) of Jacksonville; his mother Mavis Lee of Charlotte; his siblings, Susan Nelson of Charlotte and Ronnie Lee (Kathie) of Bolivia; his mother-in-law Iola Taylor (Ken) of Kinston; and his brother-in-law Clifton Jones (Tracy) of Trenton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
