He is survived by: his son James "Jimmy" Richard Riggs (Catherine) of Rocky Point; his foster daughter Angela Yopp Johnston (Larry) of Leland; his sister Velma Sharp of Havelock; his grandchildren, Sarah Riggs of Burgaw, Susan Aman of Burgaw, Carmen Riggs of Rocky Point, Alicia Riggs of Rocky Point, James Riggs, Jr. of Boone, Abiegail Reynolds of Raleigh, Briannia Johnston and Larry Johnston, Jr. of Leland; and his great grandchildren, Tony Hernandez, Luke Humphreys, Jayden Aman, Zephyria Aman and Emilia Turner.
