It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Synthia Nelson Steele of Mayodan, North Carolina, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on October 24, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband R. E. Steele, Jr.; her children, Jerry Steele of Mayodan and Mitzi Steele of Mayodan; her grandchildren, Michael Livengood (Gabrielle), Mitchell Livengood (Kasey), Demetra Woods and Adam Steele; her great grandchildren, Porter Liven, Grayson Livengood, Brylee Woods, Brody Woods and Bentley Woods; and her siblings, Dewey Nelson (Linda) of Aarat, VA, Judith N. Dodson (Odean) of Sandy Ridge and Rebecca N. Joyce (Oneal) of Mayodan.
