He was predeceased by: his father Claude Swanson Atkins; and his sister Macdean Amos. He is survived by: his wife Georgia B. Atkins; his daughters, Angel A. Powley (Keith) and Bobbie M. Atkins; and his sister Linda A. Reaves. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
