It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivory Hooker Bowman of Mayodan, North Carolina, who passed away on July 31, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marion Hooker and Betty Jane Hensley Branch; and her sister Elsie Rakes. She is survived by: her husband David Calvin Bowman; her children, Kevin Jeffrey Bowman (Angela), Richard Dean Bowman (Corina), Amy Hooker, Dana Gentry and Travis Bowman (Ashley Parker); her siblings, Mary Barbour (Robert), Ava Branch Hall (Jerry), Evelyn Branch (Wanda), Tony Branch (Bridgett), Leonard George Branch, Jr., Laura Reeves (Ronnie) and Shirley Ramey (Eddie); her grandchildren, John Wesley Bowman, Jeffrey Allen Bowman, Jacob Curtis Bowman, Kristen Massey (Doug), Katlin Gentry, Alex Gentry, Lexi Bowman and Zachary Bowman; and her great grandchildren, Braxton and Blaton Bowman.
