He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Grady Gann and Rosa Martin Gann; and his siblings, James, Tyler Gann, Lena Martin, Elsie Hampton and Betty Springer.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Brown Gann; his children, Terry Gann (Saundra) of Madison and Cheryl Gatewood (Mark) of Mayodan; his grandchildren, Deanna Gann Cox (Mike) of Denton, NC, Matt Gatewood (Cyndy) of Charlotte and Cole Gatewood (Brittany) of Goose Creek, SC; his great grandchildren, Delaney, Avery Cox, Owen, Ainsley, Hadley, Elizabeth and Katherine Gatewood; his sister Mildred Gann Hill (Charles) of Claudville, VA; and his sister-in-law Margaret Conway. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
