She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Franklin Duggins and Mazie Hawks Duggins; her husband Troy Lee Parrish; her siblings, Carol Richardson, Jeronia Vernon, James Duggins and Robie Duggins; and her close friend Lib Martin.

She is survived by: her grandson Kevin Brim (Kristen); and her great grandchild Mazie Diamond Brim.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Barry L. Joyce Cancer Resource Center, 714 Ayersville Road, Madison, NC 27025.
