She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Ivory Bowman; and her siblings, Gladys Hooker, Janet Hooker, Viola Hooker, Shirley Ramsey, William "Gus" Hooker, Jr. and Tony Branch.
She is survived by: her father David Bowman; her husband Sammy Sherwood; her daughter Kristen Massey (John); her siblings, Mary Barbour (Dale Waller), Ava Branch, Evelyn Branch (Wanda Vanden), Laura Reeves, Margie Penland, Junior Branch and Travis Bowman (Whittney Elliott); and her grandchild Jordan Levi Lawson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112).
