He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Brayboy and Strawdie Brayboy; and his siblings, Vella Jones, Willa Brayboy, Susie Harris, Reedy Brayboy, Anna Scott, Ella Brayboy, Glenn Locklear and Clyde Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Juliet Brayboy; his daughters, Audrey Brayboy (Tommy D. Thompson) and Monica B. Sanderson (Jon M. Sanderson); and his grandchildren, Tomalita D. Thompson, Adrienne Thompson, Brandon K. Sanderson and Keri B. Flowe. He is also survived by Five great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
