He is survived by: his mother Lucy Jane Locklear Chavis of Shannon; his children, Paul Andrew Chavis of Maxton, Howard Lorenzo Porter of St. Pauls, Elaney Lacole Jones of Maxton, Tiffany Leigh Chavis of Maxton and Brandy Lynn Jacobs of Fuquay Varina; and his siblings, Levern Chavis of Shannon, Timmy Chavis of Shannon and Donna Revels of Shannon. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
