She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Robert and Lillie Augusta Wilson Gauldin; her husband Norris Odell Simmons; and her sisters, Ruby G. Hawks, Mildred Riddle and Shirley Hawks.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Simmons (Debra) of East Bend, NC, Troy Simmons, Brian Simmons (Dolores Locklear) of Maxton and Kimberly Simmons; and her siblings, Robert Lee Gauldin, Randolph Gauldin, Raymond Gauldin, Christine Gauldin, Virginia Bowman, Betty Wiles and Cindy Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home- Red Springs (102 S Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 601 Scott Currie Rd, Raeford, NC 28376.
