It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. McDougal of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Mary A. McDougal, Shelia McDougal, Annie Denise Johnson Easterling, Brenda Johnson Miller, James D. McDougal, Marcus C. McDougal, Christopher B. McDougal, Francis E. Hall and Jeffery McDougal; and her sister Geraldine McDougal (Everyn Barton). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
