As Martha departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Martha leaves behind.

She is survived by: her children, Willie Bethea, Deborah Harrington, Virginia Gillespie, Janice Gillespie, Levander Bethea, Michael Gillespie and George Gillespie; and her siblings, James Eddie Bethea, Everette Bethea, Mandy Thomas and Francis Bethea. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, and thirty three great grandchildren.
