It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Bell Locklear of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Demery Oxendine and Nellie Dunn; her husband Cordell Locklear; and her brother Troy Oxendine. She is survived by: her children, Claudette Locklear of Pembroke, Rita Goins (Johnny) of Maxton and Junior Locklear of Pembroke; her siblings, Mary F. Locklear, Annie R. Lewis (J. Franklin) and John G. Oxendine (Felesia) of Pembroke; and her grandson Jeremiah Goins of Maxton. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
