She was predeceased by: her parent William Thompson; her spouse Alton Locklear; her son Gladys Thompson; and her siblings, Joe Thompson, Paul Thompson, Johnny Thompson, R. D. Thompson, French Thompson, Kenny Thompson, Cain Thompson, Ellen Deese and Betty Thompson.
She is survived by: her parent Nevada Roger Thompson; her son Donald Thompson of Maxton; and her sisters, Catherine Strickland of Maxton, Silver Filauri of Hope Mills, Marie Brooks of Lumberton and Peggy Spurlin of Georgia.
