He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Britt and Eva Baxley Britt; and his brother Jethro Britt. He is survived by: his wife Delta Lay Benton Britt; his children, Lee Elwood Britt, Jr. of Maxton, Lewis Wayne Britt (Edna) of McColl, SC, Wanda B. Sanderson (Phillip) of Maxton, Carolyn Chavis (Dennis) of Rowland, Janice Pittman of Maxton and Linda Clark (Craig) of Rowland; his brothers, James B. Britt (Velma) of Leland and Bobby L. Britt of Laurinburg; and his grandchildren, Delta L. Hill, Jessica L. Bruce, April M. Britt, Howard C. Plowman and Craiganna Ellis. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, three step great-great great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
