She was predeceased by: her parents, J. W. Bryant and Lula Mae Oxendine; her husband Winford Earl Locklear; and her siblings, John "Buddy" Oxendine, Thurman "Runt" Oxendine, Alden Oxendine, Eula Hunt, Frances Brewer, Minnie Brayboy, Ophelia "Phyllis" Revels, Rosa Lee and Shirley Oxendine Locklear.
She is survived by: her children, Winford Locklear, Jr. (Janice), Elisa Ann Oxendine and Vicky Lynn Locklear; her siblings, Leroy Oxendine (Mary Hazel) of Maxton, Billy Ray Oxendine of Maxton, Aliene Lemons of Fayetteville and Betty Lou of Greensboro; and her extended family, Pam Brown and David Brown. She is also survived by four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
