It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Strickland of Maxton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Gordon and Ernest Gordon; her former husband John Peter Tsatsanis; her husband Ben Strickland; her son David Tsatsanis; and her siblings, Stanley Stanton, Edgar Stanton, Martha Willis, Mary Parker and Ruth Salsbury.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Tsatsanis, Lori DiVirgilio and Daniel Tsatsanis; her grandchildren, Christopher DiVirgilio, Allison DiVirgilio Aquirre, John Paul Plowman and Michael Tsatsanis; her stepson Steven M. Strickland; her great grandchildren, Maxwell DiVirgilio, Samuel DiVirgilio, Jackson Aquirre and Madison Aquirre; her stepgrandson Steven V. Strickland; and her stepgreat-grandson Justin M (Strickland). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
