He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James (Little Bud) and Gertrude Locklear (Gert); his siblings, John H. Locklear, William Locklear, Peter Locklear, Hezzie Locklear and Louise Lowery; his sons, Ronnie Locklear, Marshall Locklear and Adam Locklear; and his grandson Allen Merle Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Clark Locklear; his sons, Nikoma Locklear, Steve Locklear, Johnnie Locklear Jr. (Sarah) of Maxton, Donnie Locklear of Red Springs and James Alton Locklear of Pembroke; his stepsons, Henry Locklear Jr. (Teresa) of Red Springs and Clarence Clark of Raeford; his daughters, Betty J. Maynor (Harvey) of Red Springs and Norma J. Locklear (James) of St. Pauls; his stepdaughter Loretta Ray (Connell) of Raeford; and his siblings, Ernest Locklear of Red Springs, Mary A. Locklear, Virginia Locklear of Maxton, Maureen Clark of Lumberton and Diane Lambert of Red Springs.
